You deserve to feel deelpy seen and fully heard.

Krissy is a clinical social worker and therapist with a heart for supporting pregnant and postpartum parents and highly sensitive adults.

My Approach.

I strive to create a space where you can work towards sharing what feels un-sharable. An opportunity to hear your own voice, to make meaning, to pause and feel. To feel less alone within this messy human life - and be reminded that you’re not doing it wrong. My approach to therapy is relational, embodied, transparent and evolving. I am trauma-aware and somatically curious. I celebrate neurodiversity in those around me and within myself. Our work together will always acknowledge the oppressive systems around us and the ways they impact your wellness. I am a mother who loves to garden, cook, sing and make art.Committing to therapy is a courageous act, and I don’t take your time lightly. Truly connected moments are an endangered resource in our culture and therapy is a powerful way to take it back. I aim to offer sessions that feel like a pause from the busy. Busy life, busy brains, busy bodies. I incorporate interventions that focus on the here and now, including building skills in self-kindness, supporting trauma healing, noticing one's unmet needs and creating deeper connections to the body and its vast wisdom. What's here is truly my own voice. A Simple, but
powerful Gesture.

Hand to Heart, the name of my practice, reflects a gesture that’s connected to self-compassion and reparenting work. It can feel hookey or awkward and that’s ok. When done with conviction it can lead to some in-the-moment release simply because it is an offering that serves as a reminder that you are here, in a living and breathing body, supporting your own self through life. It can help to counter patterns of self-criticism and remind us that self-comfort is also possible.Sending a gentle challenge your way to look away from your screen and give the hand to heart gesture a try. Gently press into your heart a bit, inhale and exhale. Maybe what I’ve shared resonates and maybe it doesn’t. What matters most to me is that you have the right therapist match for your life right now - to hold some sacred space that guides you back home to yourself.
